Purpose

The SexRightsAfrica Network aims to make it easier for people working to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) to connect with each other, to learn from each other, to access resources and to act in solidarity with one another.

The Network brings together organisations and individuals involved in SRHR across Eastern and Southern Africa, and beyond. It is intended to complement, promote and strengthen existing networks and knowledge management platforms. It provides a meeting and referral point at the busy intersection of HIV and AIDS, health and well-being, and economic, social and cultural rights.

The site provides links to key networks and roleplayers in the sector, and offers a space for individuals and groups to ‘meet’ through discussion forums and webinars.

Join the network

For anyone seeking – or able to share – resources and expertise on SRHR law or policy, effective practices, toolkits and training resources for civil society, support for research, advocacy or campaigns, SexRightsAfrica.net serves as a signpost.

Civil society organisations, activists, development agencies, donors, educators, service providers, media and others are invited to use this platform to share information, perspectives and experience. Visit the Network hub, the Youth section, or the Knowledge Exchange, to join in – or start – discussions. You can search for useful resources and sign up to the e-newsletter SexRightsNews, sign up here.

This is a (net)work in progress so please participate to grow the worldwide movement for comprehensive, inclusive and non-discriminatory SRHR.
