Accountability on African SRHR Instruments: Profiling Puleng R Letsie

Puleng R Letsie, Lesotho (Based in South Africa)

UNFPA East and Southern Regional Office (ESARO)/ African Coalition for Menstrual Health Management

The content covered through the webinars was very rich, empowering and up to date. We cannot manage programmes, advocate for the domestication and implementation of SRHR Commitments if we are not empowered ourselves. We cannot hold leaders and our peers accountable if we are not aware of the regional and continental commitments, so thank you very much Accountability International for these webinars, engagement and the upcoming Toolkit – we can’t wait!

About Puleng:

I am a Public Health, Human Rights and Gender professional and activist. I currently manage and coordinate the first African Coalition for Menstrual Health Management, currently hosted by UNFPA ESARO. I lead and support the advocacy and technical guidance for the integration of Menstrual Health Management into Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) policy and programming. I also manage the youth leadership and participation portfolio, which includes the provision of technical and organisational development support to youth networks working on SRHR in the region.
