Taboom Media, a global media development and monitoring group, invites you to apply for a spot in their upcoming week-long Media Advocacy for LGBTQI+ Equality workshop. This free and interactive course aims to help civil society organisations from across Sub-Saharan Africa create and implement media advocacy strategies and campaigns that advance LGBTQI+ equality.
The live online course will take place January 25 - 29, 2021. Daily Zoom sessions will take place Monday - Friday from 14:00 - 16:00 SAST, with additional assignments, etc due as well.
Eligible participants must live in Sub-Saharan Africa, be affiliated with a civil society organisation that serves sexual/gender minorities, have working proficiency in English, must connect to all sessions with video turned on using a laptop/computer (not a smartphone), and must have reliable Internet connections of at least 1 MB/second.
