The International Campaign for Women’s Right to Safe Abortion launches its Young Activist Network for Abortion Advocacy (YANAA)

In time for the September 28 Day of Action in support of the right to safe abortion, the International Campaign for Women’s Right to Safe Abortion has launched YANAA, the Young Activist Network for Abortion Advocacy, an international network by and for young people that focuses on activism and advocacy in relation to safe abortion.

YANAA believes that girls and young women are the best advocates for their own rights and health, and aims to build a movement that highlights the intersectional issues around abortion that girls and young women experience.

The network aims to advance abortion rights in relation to youth perspectives, and aims to build advocacy strategies on all aspects of abortion.

YANAA is coordinated by a committee of young women that currently includes regional representatives from Argentina, India, Malaysia, South Africa and Sudan and a representative from the International Campaign for Women’s Right to Safe Abortion Coordination Team.

If you are below age 35, you can join the network by going to this page.
