Bumb’INGOMSO: Programme Manager
DG Murray Trust is implementing a multifaceted HIV prevention Project (Bumb’INGOMSO) that aims to reduce the incidence of HIV among the 15-29-year-old young women in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. As part of this project, DGMT is going to introduce a new programme component focused on 10-14year old boys and girls, specifically aimed at shaping gender-equal norms. The project is co-financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through KFW Development Bank and DGMT. The DG Murray Trust seeks to recruit a Programme Manager. The position is based in East London, Eastern Cape and includes travel to the Amatole district.
Will lead the implementation of the 10-14-year-old programme by managing the programme design, implementation, operations, and monitoring. This will also include managing programme staff and quality; liaison with relevant stakeholders and managing relations with key partners and service providers and financial and narrative reporting. The candidate also needs to have experience managing programme budgets and reporting.
- Experience in designing and managing school programmes or youth development programmes
- Proactive, driven, enthusiastic and committed to implementing a quality programme
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate information efficiently and effectively
- Ability to communicate in Xhosa and English would be essential
A university degree (preferably a postgraduate qualification in social sciences, or community development or Bachelor of Social work [Honours]) in any relevant field.
