HRH Princess Sekhothali Seeiso of Lesotho addresses young women and girls on SRHR

On the 31st of August Her Royal Highness, Princess Sekhothali Seeiso of Lesotho, visited a semi rural village called Ha Lepolesa in Qalabane, Mafeteng, Lesotho.

 

Together with Advocate Mpho Maema they addressed young women and girls on Sexual and Reproductive Health rights and general rights of women. Girls were motivated to go to school and strive for a better future through education.

 
Mandela Washington fellow, Mampho Lets’aba, was part of the event as well, bringing school equipment for one girl chosen by the village chief through Mampho Lets’aba’s “Uniform Drive Campaign”.

Mandela Washington Fellow Masedi Thata Kewamodimo travelled from Botswana to share her story of being born HIV+ and how she is still surviving through all the myths and discrimination.

Part of the sanitary towels pledged to the event came from the corporate sector, as well as from two government officials.
