#MyBodyMyChoice Campaign

This online campaign was officially launched by Global Health Strategies on the 10th of September 2018. The main aim is to break the silence around abortion by bringing together key audiences and promoting conversations around SRHR and abortion.

Social Media Toolkit

The Social Media Toolkit works as a guide to how the campaign will be rolled-out. It has been developed for partners and their broader networks to share information about SRH and abortion rights, either by using the messages that have already been created or adapting messages related to the comprehensive SRH work you’re doing or have done. We want to rally as much support as we can for this movement, in order to ensure all women and girls can exercise their right to choose and have access to essential comprehensive SRH services. Please share, tweet, retweet and tag as much as possible.

The toolkit contains information on:

  • Other handles you can tag
  • Suggested social media themes and posts
  • Share graphics and images

Day of Action and Petition
The day of action will be on the 28th of September which marks the International Day for Safe Abortion. On this day there will be a march which will commence at Newtown Park in Johannesburg, the program will be packed with youth engagement, a partner address, reading and handing over of a petition. Please be on the lookout for the petition and the march details once they are out.
