The Other Foundation is offering African researchers who live and work on the continent the first opportunity to explore the data from its new survey on attitudes and behaviour towards homosexuality and gender non-conformity in South Africa. The key findings from the survey, conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council, have been published in the report Progressive Prudes. However, the Other Foundation has embargoed the data from the survey, beyond this report, for 12 months, to enable African researchers to engage with it. The Foundation is offering limited research funds to support selected areas of interest that strengthen and support activism and is inviting institutions and individuals interested in accessing the data to apply.
