Section 27 launches informative website on abortion in East and Southern Africa
The website, with a foreword by UN Special Rapporteur on the right to health, Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng, employs case studies, personal essays and stories, as well as various contextual examples within countries to highlight the state of abortion within the ESA region.
There is additional focus on the impact of the Global Gag Rule (2016), as well as other impacts on the lives of women and girls throughout the region resulting from the inability to access abortion services.
